One OK Rock

One OK Rock is a Japanese rock band that was founded in 2005. The band consists of four members: Takahiro Moriuchi (vocals), Toru Yamashita (lead guitar), Ryota Kohama (bass) and Tomoya Kanki (drums). Their musical style includes a mixture of alternative rock, post-hardcore, pop punk and J-rock.

The name ‘One OK Rock’ is derived from ‘one o'clock’, the time at which the band originally rehearsed. As there is no difference between the ‘L’ and the ‘R’ in Japanese, it became ‘o'crock’ or ‘o'krock’, which eventually became ‘One OK Rock’.

The band has released several albums and singles over the years and has toured both in Asia and Europe. Their debut album ‘Zeitakubyō’ was released in 2007, followed by other successful albums such as ‘Niche Syndrome’ (2010) and ‘35xxxv’ (2015).
