Information on electrical and electronic (waste) equipment
The following information is for private households that use electrical and/or electronic equipment. Please observe these important instructions for environmentally sound disposal of old appliances and for your own safety.
1. Information on the disposal of electrical and electronic (waste) equipment and the meaning of the symbol according to Annex 3 of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)
Owners of old appliances must separate them from unsorted municipal waste. Electrical and electronic waste equipment may therefore not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and, in particular, does not belong in household waste. Rather, these old appliances must be collected separately and disposed of, for example, via local collection and return systems.
Owners of old appliances must also separate old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the old appliance from it before handing it over to a collection point.
The latter does not apply if the old appliances are separated from other old appliances for the purpose of preparing them for reuse in accordance with § 14 paragraph 5 sentences 2 and 3 ElektroG within the scope of the option by public waste management authorities.
Based on the symbol according to Annex 3 of the ElektroG, owners can recognize old appliances that must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of their service life. The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment is a crossed-out wheeled bin and is designed as follows:
2. Information on the possibilities for returning old appliances
Owners of old appliances can hand them in at the return or collection facilities for old appliances set up and made available by public waste management authorities, to ensure proper disposal of the old appliances. If applicable, it is also possible to hand in electrical and electronic equipment there for the purpose of reusing the equipment. Further information on this can be obtained from the respective collection or return point.

3. Note on data protection
Some old appliances to be disposed of contain sensitive personal data (e.g., on a PC or smartphone) that must not fall into the hands of third parties.
We explicitly point out that end-users of old appliances are solely responsible for deleting personal data on the old appliances to be disposed of.
4. Note on our WEEE registration number
We are registered as a manufacturer of electrical and/or electronic equipment with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register, Benno-Strauß-Str. 1, 90763 Fürth. As soon as we have our registration number, it will be published here.
